Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 brings a lot of changes to the game, so it’s only natural that you’ll want a better and more powerful katana build than the previous ones. I played through the entire game making this build and by the end I was an invincible samurai tearing through my enemies. In this guide, I will help you make the best katana build for Cyberpunk 2.0
What is the katana build in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0?
Katana Build focuses on spending perks and attribute points to maximize the damage and bonuses from the sword. Our build allows you to get the most out of not only your sword, but your knife as well, while also providing great health benefits. All of this makes this build a true aggressive build with room to add other supporting perks.
Best starting stats for Katana build in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
When you start playing Cyberpunk 2077 again with a Katana build, you should allocate your attribute points as follows.
-
- Reflexes : 9
- Intelligence : 3
- Technical Ability : 3
- Cool : 3
- Body : 4
Most of the core perks you’ll need to build a Katana are in the Reflexes tree, so this will be our main focus early in the game. This will allow you to get some nice perks that allow you to increase the speed and damage when using the Katana.
Best Endgame Stats for Katana Build in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
Once you level up, your character should look like this.
- Intelligence : 3
- Reflexes : 20
- Technical Ability : 3
- Cool : 20
- Body : 20
If you notice, I left the Tech Ability and Intelligence trees untouched, mainly because both of them have nothing to do with katana building. You can either add cyberware support to your build via the Tech Ability tree, or go the Recon route to gain additional Netrunner capabilities.

The best perks for leveling up the reflex tree
This tree is the bread and butter for this katana build. Skills such as Dribble and Steal, Finisher: Blade Runner, Aerial Dash, and Carnage make this build possible. They make your sword extremely powerful, providing bonuses to critical damage and bullet deflection.

The best perks for leveling up the coolness tree
The cool tree is probably my favorite, even if it’s meant to support a Katana build with a knife. For example, when going into battle, your first instinct is to throw the knife and collect it for another headshot with the bonus damage from the Pay it Forward skill.

The best perks for upgrading your body Wood
Lastly, we have the Body tree, which is designed to increase your health and regenerate it. On top of that, you have Adrenaline Rush, which gives you greater movement speed and extra health regeneration when active, making this build virtually unbeatable.
Order | Parental benefits | Fringe benefits |
---|---|---|
1 | Painkiller | Speed Junkie Army of One Return of the Dorf-Head Child |
2</td> | Adrenaline Rush | Peace of Mind Juggernaut Unstoppable Force |

If you’re at max level, after completing this build you’ll have a few attribute and perk points left over to spend on the perks you like. If you want some cyberware to support you, you can use the tech ability tree or gain some hacking abilities through the intelligence tree.
Best weapons to build a katana in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
The best weapons for Katana build in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 are as follows. Remember that you can always use other similar weapons that you think will suit your build.
- Satori : This is by far the best katana in the game as with our build you can use it to increase your critical chance and damage. You can drag this bad guy into Saburo Arasaki’s AV during the Heist mission.
- Stinger : This is a great knife to throw at enemies to poison them or deal massive headshot damage. In most cases, a headshot from this knife will kill the enemy, making it ideal for stealth. You can get this knife by completing the “I’ll Fly Away” side quest.
I left one weapon slot where you can keep your most powerful weapon as a backup. This is mainly due to the fact that this build only requires two weapons to work properly, and you can do whatever you want with the last slot.
