Unleash the destructive power of Blackwall’s forbidden technology on your enemies.
There are two secret superweapons of the Blackwall (the main defense system of cyberspace) that you can obtain by following a certain story path in Phantom Liberty. As a result, you can take possession of a powerful cannon that immobilizes almost all enemies, or a special cyber implant that grants the ability to inflict enormous damage on all reasoned and robotic opponents.
However, in order to get your hands on this doomsday weapon, you need to fulfill several prerequisites: follow a certain story path, collect blueprints, and then make one of your choice. Below we will describe in more detail what needs to be done to obtain this secret weapon of Blackwall.
HOW TO GET BLACKWALL’S SECRET SUPERWEAPON
Progress through the main storyline of Phantom Freedom until you reach the quest “Judgment Day”.
During this mission, you will definitely want to choose to side with Solomon Reed over Jay. Switching to Reed’s side will trigger the “Hour of Confusion” storyline, during which you will need to complete the following actions:
- Call Mr. Hands and agree to pay him 15 thousand Eurodollars to put you in touch with the right person.
- After paying and waiting 10 hours, you will receive a tip to the Edge Net store in the Kabuki market, where you need to talk with Yoko Tsuru – she is the one who cooperates with Mr. Hands.
- Meet Yoko and get the chip.
Complete the mission “Hour of Confusion” to advance to the next stage called “Gaze into the Abyss”.
WALKTHROUGH OF THE MISSION “GAZE INTO THE ABYSS”
You’ll need to infiltrate the Militech underground bunker underneath the Kinosura complex and successfully sneak past a killer robot controlled by an artificial intelligence called Cerberus to subsequently disable it. According to the plot, you are sent there on the trail of Jay, but for you and me the most important thing is the reward for completing the mission – two reserved drawings.
WHERE TO FIND A DRAWING OF THE ICONIC WEAPON “EREBUS”
After deactivating the Sierra terminal, you will find a locked door to the maintenance room nearby. Open door 19 to gain access to a blueprint for a secret development called “Erebus”.
WHERE TO FIND THE BLUEPRINT FOR THE MILITECH “SONG” CYBER IMPLANT (VER.6)
On your way to the Thermal Control Room, you will find a locked door to the Experimental Design room. Hack the door using the password you found, or open it instantly if you have at least 14 Intelligence points. THERE you will find the second drawing.
COMPLETING THE MISSION “GAZE INTO THE ABYSS”
Next, return to the main control room, where the Cerberus robot will continue to pursue you. Leaving the digital world, you wake up to find that the robots have been turned off.
Be sure to take the behavioral system component from the robot’s body – this is necessary to create a weapon.
Complete the mission using any of the options and go to sleep in your apartment. Soon a mysterious caller will contact you.
By following the path of Solomon Reed, collecting Blackwall’s blueprints and obtaining a behavioral system component, you can create one of two possible types of Blackwall weapons.
CREATION OF BLACKWALL WEAPONS
Return to Yoko and give her the part you removed from the robot. Wait for her to finish decoding to receive the decoded Cerberus Behavioral System component.
In exchange, you will be able to craft either the iconic Erebus submachine gun or the Canticle cyber implant (ver. 6) – both of these weapons are among the deadliest in the game, as they contain dark energy that came from beyond Blackwall.
Being hit by a projectile or hacked using this forbidden technology causes an instant failure of neural systems, covering the implants in black and red digital artifacts and instantly neutralizing their owner, be it human or robot. With such a powerful weapon, you can at least storm Arasaka alone .
