They also shared a poster of the new milestone along with a thank-you note for the increasing support for Dunki. Co-written by Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijaat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon, the comedy-drama delves at the complexities of love, friendship, boundaries, and nostalgia.
Dunki, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu in addition to Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, is a heartwarming tale of four friends who want to move to London in search of a better life and who set out on a difficult but transforming journey to realize their goals.
A day before Prabhas’s Salaar was released, on December 21, Dunki, presented by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, debuted on theaters, causing a clash at the box office. The movie reportedly made ₹74.82 crore at the domestic box office, despite receiving mixed reviews. Speaking at a gathering in Dubai, Shah Rukh Khan discussed his personal connection to the movie Dunki, saying that it’s a movie that’s near to his heart and that viewers should watch it if they want a mix of laughs, heartfelt storytelling, and mixed feelings.
