How to defeat Simon Manus in Lies of P

Find out how to defeat Simon Manus in Lies of P and defeat the game’s final boss!

Over the years, games like Souls have become popular in the gaming industry. One of the latest additions is a game called Lies of P. The game has an intriguing plot, dynamic setting and difficult but rewarding boss fights.

The final boss of the game is Simon Manus, the leader of the alchemists. As a character, he is ambitious and smug and plans to overpower the humans by taking control of Ergo. He, along with members of the alchemists, created a machine that would allow him to achieve godhood. So, your job as the main character is to defeat this crazy boss, and this guide will teach you exactly that.

How to defeat Simon Manus in Lies of P

Before you set your sights on defeating this tough boss, take plenty of health tonics with you to help you survive. Living up to its name as the game’s final boss, Simon Manus is a difficult boss that must be defeated in two phases during the boss fight. This means that you must successfully defeat him two times in a row to finish the game.

PHASE 1: Simon Manus, Hand of God

The first phase of the boss fight is relatively slow. Simon Manus will swing his mace twice to attack you, and then place the mace on his shoulder to rest briefly. He will then perform a long-range jump attack or a close-range mace attack. Both will then take a short rest with the mace on their shoulder.

In the first stage, the best technique is to stay as close to him as possible, preferably near his back. First you need to wait for him to swing his mace twice and dodge both attacks. Once he places the mace on his shoulder, strike back as quickly as possible while he is open.

He will then either perform a melee attack in front of him or a long jump attack from above. You’ll instantly know if he’s about to use a jump attack as his entire body will glow red.

All you have to do is dodge his attacks and strike back as soon as he stops to rest. Be sure to remember his attack pattern and follow this strategy to move on to the next phase:

  • Initially, he will make two swing attacks. Just dodge them and wait for a pause.
  • When he pauses, attack him immediately and then retreat.
  • Once he lights up red, he will use a long distance jump attack. When he does this, step back, block this move, wait for the next signal and then attack him.
  • If he uses a short range attack in front of him, simply dodge it and attack him.

Please note that you must take into account every open opportunity and attack him as quickly as possible. Since the interval between his attacks is only a few seconds, you will be directly hit by his next attack if you attack him too late. This attack pattern may take some time to get used to. You’ll defeat him once you get the hang of it, and he’ll move on to the next boss phase.

PHASE 2: Simon Manus, Awakened God

The second phase is the awakened form of Simon Manus. At this stage, his attacks become even more aggressive and he will use long-range AOE skills to attack you.

The second phase is the awakened form of Simon Manus. At this stage, his attacks become even more aggressive and he will use long-range AOE skills to attack you.

The best way to counter this is to keep your distance from him rather than letting him get closer to you. Essentially, it will still follow the same attack pattern, but this time with the addition of area attacks. To defeat him at this stage, use a hit and run strategy. Whenever he places his mace on his shoulder, attack and quickly move as far away from him as possible.

He will then start unleashing spiritual attacks and his ranged attack on you. Try to dodge them if you can. Additionally, he will gain a new move where he will scratch the ground in a straight line. After he makes this move, take this as an opportunity and attack him. Immediately after this, he will continue to swing his mace to attack you, and always end with a claw attack. He will repeat this several times during the boss fight.

Once you get the hang of it and memorize its attack patterns, simply attack it between each cycle. This is not an easy task and requires a lot of patience and determination. However, once you defeat Simon Manus in both phases, the feeling of defeating Lies of P’s final boss will be a better reward than the actual rewards you’ll get from it.
