How to Defeat Parade Master in Lies of P
In Lies of P, the Parade Master is an enormous, menacing parade puppet characterized by a cage on its back and a corpulent, corrupted red mechanical body. The boss frequently employs two primary attacks: a powerful ground slam and a devastating grab attack, both inflicting substantial damage.
The Parade Master boss battle consists of two distinct phases. The second phase introduces significant changes to his attack patterns, as he obtains a new weapon that enhances his range and substantially boosts his damage output.
Phase 1
Similar to most bosses in the game, the Parade Master adheres to a specific attack pattern. During phase 1, his repertoire of attacks includes grabs, slams, and belly-flops, followed by a rush and a sideways swipe. In this initial phase, your optimal strategy is to dodge his attacks and counter with your own.
The Puppet Master exhibits rapid recovery after each attack, providing a limited window for your counterattacks. After he executes a grab, slam, or rush attack, it’s advisable to dodge and follow up with a quick strike. Attempting a second strike often exposes you to potential damage.
Prioritize attacking during the recovery period following his belly flop, as this phase offers a slightly longer window for your offensive actions.
Phase 2
In Lies of P, the Parade Master transitions into his second phase by forcefully slamming down the cage attached to his back. Exercise caution during this phase transition, as it inflicts substantial damage. Subsequently, he dislodges his head to wield it as a melee weapon, and his body becomes engulfed in flames.
During this transitional moment, the Parade Master is entirely vulnerable, allowing you to land a few strikes. In phase 2, his attack pattern undergoes slight modifications, but his range significantly increases. The Parade Master employs three primary attacks in this phase: an overhead strike, a sweeping attack, and a grab maneuver.
His belly-flop attack also returns in this phase. You should generally adhere to the same tactics as in Phase 1, but you must now factor in his extended range and enhanced damage potential. Adopting a defensive posture remains the wisest course of action.
Reiterate the strategies employed in Phase 1, and with persistence, the Parade Master will eventually succumb.
