Minecraft Mob Vote 2023: When and Where to Vote

Minecraft Mob Vote 2023: When and Where to Vote. All three of this year’s gangs have been announced, so don’t miss your chance to vote.

The tradition continues once again and the annual Minecraft mob vote returns so we can experience the full social media fight over which creature will be added to Minecraft next. Mojang has officially announced our three gang choices for this year (crab, penguin, and armadillo) and the voting time. We’ll go over all the details below on when and where to make your selection for the year.

As in past years, mob voting will culminate at Minecraft Live on October 15, where Mojang will announce the winning creature. Mojang usually also announces information about the next major game update during the program. We probably won’t learn all the details about the 1.21 update during the schedule, or even its name, but based on history we should expect it in mid-2024 and our gang selection will be added during this update.

When is Minecraft Mob Voting 2023?

Minecraft mob voting will start on Friday, October 13 at 13:00 Turkey time and will end on Sunday, October 15 at 13:15 Turkey time. This is just over 48 hours, twice as long as last year’s voting and much longer than livestream voting in previous years. Voting will close at the beginning of Minecraft Live, which will air on Sunday, October 15 at 1pm EDT.

Here’s when mob voting will open across time zones:

  • October 13 at 10 a.m. – October 15 at 10:15 a.m. PDT (Los Angeles)
  • October 13 at 1pm – October 15 at 1:15pm EDT (New York)
  • 13 October at 18:00 – 15 October at 18:15 (London)
  • 13 October at 7 – 15 October at 7:15 CEST (Berlin)
  • 14 October 3pm – 16 October 3:15pm AEST (Sydney)

Like last year, there are a few different places you can vote. You can go to and log in to vote. You can open Minecraft launcher and vote before opening the game. You can also vote in-game by joining a specially designed server that will be available in the menu.

Minecraft Mob Voting 2023 Which Mobs are there?

As has been the case for several years, Mojang has introduced three new concepts for mobs that can be added to Minecraft. Unlike last year, which was a competition between three fictional creatures, this year they are all real world animals. All three mobs have only a small amount of detail about where they spawn and what they can be used for, but we can expect the winner to have additional features once Mojang continues development.

These tiny crustaceans will actually live in the Mangrove Swamp biome, not the ocean. Harvesting a crab claw and equipping it will allow you to place blocks further away from you. Imagine getting rid of your scaffolding to finish the complicated log cabin roof project.

Another small mob option is the Armadillo, which lives in warm biomes like Savannah. They will drop Scute, which are plate-like skins that you can turn into armor for your wolves. This is definitely a useful crafting recipe.

Finally, there is the penguin that you can find in the Stony Shore biomes. Mojang says they’re clumsy on land, but they’re great swimmers that can help your boat move faster. It’s a minor benefit, but they’re the only option Mojang specifically mentions as having babies, so it’s likely you’ll be able to raise penguins as friends.
