How to 100% Survey Grimsey in Starfield
In order to achieve a 100% completion on your Grimsey Survey Checklist, it’s essential to perform a comprehensive scan of the entire moon. Through scanning, you can identify and record the “fauna, flora, resources, and any unique traits” that Grimsey may possess. Unfortunately, it’s worth noting that Grimsey lacks both fauna and flora.
To initiate the scanning process, ensure that you are within a 10-meter radius of the target item. Once in the appropriate range, you can proceed to scan all the items featured on Grimsey Moon within the expansive Starfield universe. Upon activating your scanner, embark on an adventurous journey through Grimsey’s mountainous terrain.
On the left side of your Heads-Up Display, you will discover a Survey Checklist. Aim your scanner at the item in front of you to initiate the scanning procedure. The Blue Outline within the HUD will transition to green once the scanning process is successfully completed. Additionally, you can monitor your Survey Checklist progress with completed items marked on the left side of the list.
Grimsey Survey Checklist
As mentioned earlier, every planet in Starfield features a Survey Checklist that requires your attention, involving the scanning of various items. Once this task is accomplished, your Survey Checklist progress will transition to the status of “Surveyed.” Below, you’ll find a list of the items included in the Grimsey Survey Checklist within the Starfield universe:
Name | Terrain | Description |
Iridium (Ir) | Volcanic Rocks | “Iridium is a rare resource found in Starfield that can be used in several crafting recipes, including weapons mods, equipment, and outposts.” |
Plutonium (Pu) | Volcanic Rocks | “Plutonium is an important resource in Weapons mods crafting and you can even sell it to make credits in Starfield. |
Uranium (U) | Volcanic Rocks | “Uranium is an uncommon resource used as a fuel in nuclear reactors, generating energy through controlled nuclear fission.” |
Vanadium (V) | Volcanic Rocks | “Vanadium is a rare resource found in Starfield that can be used in several crafting recipes that include weapons mods, equipment, and outposts.” |
All Flora and Fauna on Grimsey
Regrettably, Grimsey Moon within the Starfield universe lacks any fauna or flora within its habitat, primarily due to the moon’s inhospitable climate.
How to Find Resources on Grimsey in Starfield
In Grimsey Moon, you will find a couple of resources that are very easy to locate.
- Iridium (Ir)
- Plutonium (Pu)
- Uranium (U)
- Vanadium (V)
Proceed to the three-story structure from your designated Landing Spot on Grimsey, where you’ll uncover deposits of Uranium (U) and Vanadium (V). As you draw nearer to the building, you’ll come across Iridium (I) positioned atop a modest rock.
This building, identified as the “Abandoned Research Plant,” can be entered to scavenge valuable resources and confront adversaries within. Upon departing the plant, you’ll encounter Plutonium (P) scattered among the nearby small rocks.
All Biomes on Grimsey in Starfield
In Starfield, the moons are devoid of biomes, meaning you won’t encounter any natural habitats or living ecosystems on them. To explore diverse biomes like “Mountains and Volcanoes,” you’ll need to venture into other planetary systems within the game.
How to discover Grimsey Traits
You can employ your onboard Scanner to uncover Traits on Grimsey Moon. Below, you’ll find a list of the traits that you can discover here:
- Crystalline Minerals
- Thermal Crater
To locate these traits, make your way to the “Unexplored Chemistry Feature.” Upon arrival, you’ll discover the “Crystalline Mineral” trait positioned atop the quartz minerals.
Next, journey to the “Unexplored Geophysical Feature,” where you’ll come across the “Thermal Crater” trait. By accomplishing this, you will achieve a full 100% completion of the Starfield Grimsey Survey, and the list will be officially marked as “Surveyed.”
