How to unlock the Sure Bet mission

To initiate the Sure Bet mission in Starfield, your first destination is the planet Gagarin within the Alpha Centauri system.

Upon arrival, proceed straight ahead and ascend to the rooftop area. Your next stop is the outdoor bar, illuminated by a striking red glow, where you’ll encounter Lizzy Ajello, the bartender.

Lizzy will task you with a mission to plunder an abandoned ship in search of valuable loot and an assortment of alcoholic beverages, boasting that the vessel holds an exquisite collection of spirits.

As a gratuity for the liquor you recover, you’ll receive a bountiful reward in the form of credits and various other valuable items you come across aboard the abandoned ship.

How to complete Sure Bet in Starfield

Once you get the mission objective from Lizzy, you must head towards Grisson, which is a mood on the Bondar Planet located in the same system you’re in.

Track down and board the abandoned ship  

The abandoned ship is called “Deimos Armored Transport” and you will encounter it by traveling through the Alpha Centauri System near Grisson.

As soon as you approach the abandoned ship, you will be swarmed by a few Crimson Fleet ships. They have come for the booze as well.

If you’re currently engaged in the Crimson Fleet questline, the ships you encounter will remain non-hostile towards you. However, if you’re not pursuing that questline, you’ll need to vanquish all the ships in your path before gaining clearance to dock the Deimos Armored Transport ship.

Be sure to maximize your shields and launch a relentless offensive to successfully eliminate these adversaries. After disposing of the enemy ships, proceed towards the abandoned vessel and initiate the docking procedure, allowing you to advance further in the quest.

Eliminate the Spacers

As you progress deeper into the ship, you’ll encounter numerous spacers armed with weapons, necessitating their elimination to secure the loot for your own benefit.

Avoid diverting your attention towards fruitless searches for additional items on the ship, as a thorough exploration yielded no noteworthy discoveries. It’s best to stay focused on your primary objective and proceed directly towards it.

One captivating aspect of this mission is the intermittent shifts in gravity within the ship. Periodically, gravity will toggle on and off, affording you moments of weightlessness.

To reach the coveted cache of booze, continue forward through the doorway, entering a sizable chamber where you’ll need to dispatch a few adversaries.

In front of you will be a door to all the booze, but it’s locked, and we must find an alternate path to get our items. There’s a hallway left of the door which you must take.

Find a way to open the locked storage door

When you’re about halfway down the corridor, you’ll encounter a door that grants access to the storage room. Deal with any adversaries in this area, then ascend the staircase and proceed down the corridor until you reach an elevator.

Inside the elevator, you’ll need to utilize gravity to your advantage. When gravity disengages, promptly navigate through the elevator’s ceiling and enter the adjoining hallway. Continue along this hallway, and it will lead you to an immense, turbine-like structure.

Journey through this space and follow the path indicated by your objective marker, ultimately arriving at a computer terminal. Utilize this computer to unlock the previously sealed door.

Now, retrace your steps all the way back to the initially locked door. Inside this room, await the activation of the gravity manipulation.

Once you start floating, you’ll observe three doors. The one marked with your objective contains Lizzy’s Liquor, and your destination is to reach it and retrieve the coveted items.

Return the liquor to Lizzy

After acquiring the booze from the abandoned vessel, retrace your steps along the path you took previously, make your way to your spacecraft, and embark on the journey back to Gagarin.

Once back on Gagarin, seek out Lizzy at the same location where you initially met her. Present the Liquor to her, and in return, she will generously reward you. There’s also a chance to employ your Persuasion Skills to potentially negotiate for even greater rewards. This will effectively conclude your Sure Bet side mission in the Starfield universe.
