The best gloves in the MW3 beta

The best gloves in the MW3 beta

I never thought I’d see the day when Call of Duty’s perk system was finally overhauled. Well, in MW3 the developers decided enough was enough. This is not a wholesale change, but perk effects are now granted to players based on what gear they are wearing. Gloves can provide several powerful benefits, and good players choose them based on their playstyle. If you’re looking for the best gloves in the MW3 beta, ranked, I’ve got you covered.

Best perks in MW3

There are three sets of gloves available in the MW3 beta. As with killstreaks, they are blocked by character level. Luckily, you level up through normal gameplay, so after a few games you can experiment. Here are the suggested gloves and what they do.

  • Quick Grip Gloves  – Increases weapon switching speed.
  • Scavenger Gloves  – Replenish ammo and throwing knives from dead players.
  • Commander’s Gloves  – reload during sprint.

All of these gloves are good and complement a certain style of play. I recommend experimenting to find what works best for you. Not only that, but it’s always fun to try something new, even if you’re comfortable with it. If you’re new to the series, you might benefit from the extra ammo from the Scavenger Gloves, but the Quick-Grip Gloves, for example, might be a better fit once you get better.

The best gloves in the MW3 beta, ranking

Here are my picks for the best gloves in MW3. I’m an aggressive player and promote fights all the time. With that in mind, my favorites may be different from yours.

#3 Commando gloves

The sprint reload is a valuable bonus, but its niche use means I can’t rate the Commando gloves any higher. If I run, it’s usually to cover an open area or try a crappy build at close range. The problem is that sound matters a lot in Call of Duty. If the player hears you coming, they will be ready. If you get caught reloading while sprinting, you’re dead.

Paired with hidden sneakers that muffle the sound of your footsteps, commando gloves are deadly. Outside of this niche, I prefer other options.

#2 Scavenger Gloves

Scavenger gloves may be ideal if you’re a beginner who has a hard time hitting targets, or you’re so good that you live long enough that you have trouble running out of ammo. Depending on your weapon choice, ammo can be a difficult resource to use, and Scavenger Gloves eliminate that problem entirely.

The Scavenger Gloves are fantastic and it’s nice to not have to worry about ammo. This gear is just shy of first place and only   slightly   behind the Quick-Grip gloves. That’s why.

Quick Grip Gloves #1

My top pick is the Quick-Grip Gloves because they give you an edge in combat. We’ve all been in situations where we’ve run out of ammo during a firefight. In such a situation, you have two options. Reload your gun (which always seems to take forever) or change it.

If you have a decent sidearm, a replacement is usually the best choice, and the Quick Grip gloves make it quicker. I’m guilty of walking around with a half-empty gun, and a quick change has saved my life dozens of times. For me, these gloves correct a flaw in my playstyle, so putting them first is an easy choice.
