Just today, Bethesda released the newest patch called update 1.7.33 for Starfield on both the Xbox and Steam platforms. According to a post on the official Starfield website, the patch “addresses some performance and stability issues, as well as several general gameplay issues.” The report also notes that the developers still plan to release a more significant update sometime in the future. In the meantime, here’s a rundown of the fixes implemented in the latest Starfield update.

The list of general fixes in the patch notes mentions one that addresses an issue where NPCs were not spawning in their intended locations. Another general fix prevents the game from incorrectly marking star stations as one of the player’s ships, while the third and final general fix ensures that players don’t inadvertently gain access to a vendor’s entire inventory.
Moving on to the graphical fixes, the first one addresses an issue with the AMD GPU where star lens flares were not rendering correctly. Other graphical issues fixed in the patch include blurry textures, as well as photosensitivity risks that can occur when navigating through the inventory menu.
The patch notes also have a section dedicated to performance and stability fixes, one of which addresses issues encountered when using the handheld scanner. Additionally, this section highlights various other improvements aimed at eliminating various hangs and crashes.
Finally, we have fixes related to ships in the game: the first of these fixes a bug “that was causing displayed items to disappear when applied to mannequins on a ship.” Meanwhile, the second fix in this category prevents items placed in Holly storage containers or weapon racks from disappearing after taking control of another ship.
These include all of the fixes introduced in the new Starfield update, so hopefully they will go a long way towards making your playthrough more stable if you’ve encountered any of these issues before.
